Hi, I'm a data scientist / NLP researcher / language nerd based in Brookyln.

I'm a recent graduate from the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University advised by Jaime Carbonell (and Chris Dyer & Graham Neubig). At CMU I worked on machine translation, language processing for low-resource languages, and general machine learning wizardry.

I got my Bachelors in Linguistics at the University of Texas at Austin working with Katrin Erk on lexical substitution and lexical translation using distributional semantic models. While in Austin, I worked as a data scientist at People Pattern, building odds and ends for demographics classification and sentiment analysis.

On the weekends you can catch me reading comics in coffee shops, making elaborate conlangs, and sometimes taking photos.
