I'm a recent graduate from the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University advised by Jaime Carbonell (and sometimes Chris Dyer & Graham Neubig). At CMU I worked on machine translation and language processing for low-resource languages.

I got my Bachelors in Linguistics at the University of Texas at Austin working with Katrin Erk on lexical substitution and lexical translation using distributional models. While in Austin, I worked as a data scientist at People Pattern, building odds and ends for demographics classification and sentiment analysis.

On the weekends you can catch me reading comics at coffee shops, making elaborate conlangs, and sometimes taking photos around town.

I'm looking for new opportunities as a data scientist or NLP researcher, you can find my resume here.
